About Richmond Chapel Church

The Church in the Wildwood
The history of Richmond Chapel Church

Beginning around 1819 and for the first fifty-five years or so, community members gathered in homes and eventually a one-room schoolhouse. From 1874 to 1876 the first building was built on the grounds where the Richmond Chapel Cemetery is today. Services were held there for around thirty-three years and then in 1909 services began in the current building where we still meet to this very day.
